Keep your accounting. Connect your operations.

Run sales, inventory, warehouse, purchasing, production and projects in Fritech ERP, and let posted invoices arrive in your QuickBooks Online company without re-keying. Payments, receivables aging and sales-tax filing stay where your accountant works.

Status: in development. This connection is not yet available to customers; timing is confirmed with each customer, and nothing on this page is a commitment to a date.

Why connect

Why connect operations to QuickBooks Online.

One entry, not two

Invoices built from shipments in Fritech ERP arrive in QuickBooks Online with the same number your customer pays against.

Your accountant stays put

Payments, deposits, receivables aging and sales-tax filing remain in QuickBooks Online, unchanged.

Operations get a real system

Lots, bins, waves, reps' iPads, production and projects run in Fritech ERP, which is built for them.

Planned scope

What the connection will do.

The scope as built, awaiting release. Labelled Planned until the connection is available.

Invoices and voids

Planned
  • Each customer invoice posted in Fritech ERP is created in QuickBooks Online as an invoice with the same number, customer, payment terms, lines, discounts and sales tax: automatically once you turn the setting on, or on demand
  • Voiding an invoice in Fritech ERP voids it in QuickBooks Online. If QuickBooks shows a payment on it, the void stops and asks a person to decide

Customers, items, terms and tax

Planned
  • Customers missing in QuickBooks Online are created from the Fritech ERP record (a setting, on by default). Items missing are created only if you allow it, as non-inventory or service items
  • Payment terms are matched by name; your Fritech ERP tax codes are mapped to QuickBooks tax codes, whether QuickBooks calculates tax automatically or you use manual rates

No duplicates, full visibility

Planned
  • Every invoice is checked against QuickBooks Online by number before it is created, so a retry never makes a duplicate
  • A transfer log in Receivables shows every invoice sent, with plain-English errors, Retry and Skip; company administrators are alerted when transfers fail

Your books

What stays in QuickBooks Online.

QuickBooks Online remains your accounting system. Payments and deposits are recorded there, aging and statements come from there, and sales tax is filed from there. In this release Fritech ERP does not pull payments back, so collections and credit-limit checks are run from QuickBooks, not from Fritech ERP's receivables screens, while the connection is on.

Limits

What is not included.

Not in this release

  • Credit notes, estimates, purchases, bills, vendors, inventory quantities and prices are not sent
  • Payments and receivables are not pulled back from QuickBooks Online (planned as a later step)
  • No two-way synchronization of customers, items or prices: records are matched by name when an invoice is sent, not kept in sync continuously
  • QuickBooks Desktop is not supported
  • Invoices in a currency other than your QuickBooks Online home currency are not sent

Connecting

How connecting will work.

  1. Step 1: Decide with your accountant

Custom transaction numbers on in QuickBooks Online, the item that carries discounts, whether QuickBooks or Fritech ERP calculates tax, and whether QuickBooks items should track inventory once Fritech ERP is the stock system.

  2. Step 2: Connect

A Fritech ERP administrator opens Admin Center › Integrations and signs in to QuickBooks Online as a QuickBooks administrator. Intuit's standard sign-in authorizes the connection; Fritech ERP never sees your QuickBooks password.

  3. Step 3: Send one invoice, then switch on

Send a single invoice, check it in QuickBooks Online, then turn on automatic sending and send any unsent invoices since your go-live date.

  4. Step 4: Disconnect any time

From the same page, or from inside QuickBooks Online. Fritech ERP revokes its access and deletes the stored tokens; the transfer log is kept.

Security and your control

Authorized by you, revocable by you.

Authorization and access

  • Authorization uses Intuit's OAuth 2.0 sign-in. Fritech ERP stores the resulting tokens encrypted with AES-256-GCM under a dedicated key, and never your QuickBooks credentials
  • Only company administrators can connect, disconnect or change the settings; every connection event is written to the audit log

Data and disconnect

  • Fritech ERP reads from QuickBooks Online only what it needs to match records and prevent duplicates: customers, items, payment terms, tax codes and existing invoice numbers
  • Disconnecting revokes the token at Intuit and deletes the tokens in Fritech ERP. What was sent is kept in the transfer log so a later reconnection does not create duplicates
  • How information from QuickBooks Online is handled is described in the Privacy Policy

Availability

Built, not yet released.

The QuickBooks Online connection has been built and is being prepared for release, which includes Intuit's review of the application. It is not available to customers today. If you keep QuickBooks Online, say so in the demo: we confirm timing with you before any commitment, and until then a transfer of transactions built for your setup is available under the integration promise.

FAQ

Accounting and integration questions.

All questions and answers
Can we continue using our existing accounting software?

Yes. You do not need to replace your accounting system to benefit from Fritech ERP.

We build integrations that transfer financial transactions between the systems, reducing duplicate entry and keeping your financial data consistent. A connection to QuickBooks Online is in development: when released, it will send posted invoices to your QuickBooks Online company, while payments, receivables and sales-tax filing stay in QuickBooks. It is not available yet.

This lets you modernize your operations while keeping the accounting software your team and your accountant prefer. See Integrations.

Is Fritech affiliated with Intuit or QuickBooks?

No. Fritech is an independent software company, and Fritech ERP is not endorsed, certified or sponsored by Intuit. Intuit and QuickBooks are registered trademarks of Intuit Inc.

The QuickBooks Online connection, when released, uses the interfaces Intuit publishes for third-party applications, and your QuickBooks administrator authorizes it and can revoke it at any time.

Can Fritech ERP integrate with our existing software?

Yes. Fritech ERP supports integrations with external platforms through APIs.

If an integration you need does not exist yet, we develop it at no additional cost within the agreed integration scope, provided the external system offers the necessary integration capabilities.

Our goal is to connect your existing business applications, automate data exchange and eliminate unnecessary manual processes.

Keep QuickBooks Online? Say so in the demo.

We walk through your order, your shipment and the invoice that would reach QuickBooks Online, and confirm timing with you before any commitment.
